Tell us more about you and what you do! 

I’m Karis Pentecost, an award winning British voiceover artist and actor. I take the ideas in your head and vocalise them to the big wide world! “Clearly, authentically and on-brand!”

It’s not just lifting words off of the page, it’s breathing life into their story and making the audience feel something. 

What do you love the most about what you do?

The best part of my job is taking a client's script and giving it some heart. It’s not just lifting words off of the page, it’s breathing life into their story and making the audience feel something. 

Why did you decide to work for yourself?

Working for myself means that nobody else dictates to me how I spend my day, my time, my life. Everything is on my own terms and that sense of freedom as a mother of two young children is invaluable. 

What does the future of work look like for you?

I’d love to continue voicing until I physically can’t anymore but the introduction of AI sure makes things feel uncertain. I just hope that we’re able to work alongside it and not be pitted against each other. Human beings are designed to respond to other human beings, not robots. I really hope it stays that way.

In your opinion, what role do women play in shaping the future of work?
