Hi, I’m Kyle Tran,
When I’m not helping freelancers grow on Fiverr, I’m probably out exploring new restaurants (big foodie over here) or bringing those recipes to life in my own kitchen. My current obsession? Lemon Lavender Lemon Bars. My other obsession? Skincare. The science behind it fascinates me. Pro tip: Oily or combination skin usually means it’s dehydrated and trying to make up for it. Don’t skip the moisturizer!
So why am I telling you all of this? Because I believe business isn’t just business, it’s also personal. The most rewarding part of my job is getting to know the people behind the Fiverr profiles: your stories, your goals, your wins (big and small). That human connection is what makes this work so meaningful to me.
I’m a Customer Success Manager (CSM) at Fiverr, working closely with sellers in Programming and Tech, Digital Marketing, and Finance and Business. I spend a lot of time on strategy, from gig optimization to identifying new growth opportunities, but what really drives me is helping freelancers build something lasting and meaningful.
What I Actually Do (and Why It Matters)
Real talk: being a CSM is not just about helping you fix your gig title or choose the right thumbnail. It’s about helping you build something bigger: long-term, sustainable success as a business.
There’s a common misconception that one meeting with a CSM is all it takes to unlock success on Fiverr. And hey, I get it, a quick fix sounds great. But real growth takes time, trial and error, and a willingness to adapt.
My job goes far beyond that. I’m here to be your strategic partner and mentor, to help you think like a business owner, stay relevant in a competitive/saturated marketplace, and spot opportunities for growth that you might not see on your own.
Let me share a couple of stories.
In my first year at Fiverr, I had the absolute pleasure of working with Sean M. Not only is Sean the only freelancer on Fiverr who’s part of Discord’s official Partnership Program, he’s also written for the Discord Moderator Academy… pretty cool, right? When I first started managing Sean, he was a Level 2 seller at risk of dropping to level 1, we built a strategy focused on boosting his Effective Communication. It looked like the following:
- increasing touch points with buyers throughout the order process (simple check-ins like daily summaries of activities or post-delivery check-ins to ensure satisfaction)
- providing regular progress updates (for example, sharing rough drafts or screenshots to improve transparency and increase collaboration)
Within a few months, he reached Top Rated Seller status. On top of that, we nearly doubled his monthly orders and revenue.
Another awesome seller I’ve worked with is Ali Haider of Devgene. Through regular check-ins, targeted gig optimization, and a focus on market trends, his impressions and traffic skyrocketed. The key? Adding services buyers were actively searching for. His monthly revenue tripled. It’s kind of wild to think this all happened in just one year. The numbers are great, but what matters even more are the relationships I’ve built with freelancers like Sean and Ali. Watching them grow, win, and gain confidence in their business is what makes this work so rewarding.
