Your guide to navigating the new forum

We're excited to announce the launch of our new forum.

We've worked hard to revamp the forum and make sure it’s much easier and fun for everyone. To help you settle in, here’s a quick and easy guide for understanding and navigating the main changes.

A better way to stay organized

To simplify things, we’ve condensed the forum into six main boards. Each board features preset tags that you can add to your posts, allowing you to easily categorize what you share. When you tag your content, it will be added to the corresponding topic, which you can find listed at the top of the board you are visiting. This helps keep the content organized, so you can quickly find the content that matters most to you. The boards and their available tags are as follows:

  1. From the Fiverr Team: Get official updates and news straight from us to you.
  2. Tags: Product Release, Product Updates, Fiverr News, New Features
  3. Freelancer Lounge: Connect with your fellow Fiverr freelancers beyond the work.
  4. Tags: Milestones, Get to Know Me, Off-Topic
  5. Start Here: A space for new members to introduce themselves and get oriented
  6. Tags: Getting Started, Forum Tips, Fiverr Basics, Community Guidelines, First Gig
  7. Tips & Education: A space for peer-led insights on how to grow as a Fiverr freelancer.
  8. Tags: Profile & Gig Optimization, Client Management, Vertical-Specific, All things AI, Trends
  9. Ask the Community: Got Questions? Get help and insight from fellow freelancers.
  10. Tags: Profile Advice, Buyers & Orders, Freelance Lifestyle, Miscellaneous
  11. Support & Troubleshooting: Report issues, get help, and share platform feedback.
  12. Tags: Bug Report, Platform Help, Suggestions, Policy Clarification, Forum Feedback

When posting, we encourage you to be mindful of which boards you’re publishing on and what particular tags you use. Failure to do so may hinder your posts from appearing in relevant searches and your content from reaching the audience you’ve intended it for.

Customizable views

Choose how you want to view posts, both from the forum homepage and within each board. The ‘Hot’ view shows you what’s buzzing most in the community based on what’s receiving the most reactions, comments, and upvotes. ‘New’ shows posts in chronological order as they are published. Both views update in real-time, so no matter how you prefer to engage, you’re always up to date with the latest and greatest community conversations.

New ways to engage

Keeping track of the conversations you care most about is now simpler than ever. In addition to the traditional method of commenting under posts, you can now choose to directly reply to specific comments made by other members within the post threads.

Plus, you can now sort comments by ‘Most Popular’ or ‘Newest’, depending on your preference. These features help make sure your conversations stay organized, easy to follow, and engaging.

A revamped reward system

Based on your feedback, we decided to move away from the old automatic badging system that seemed to reward mindless engagement. Now, our new badging system aims to accurately reflect your genuine contributions to the community and your status on Fiverr. Currently, we have two distinct types of badges: Profile Badges and Contribution Badges.

Profile Badges appear on the bottom of your avatar throughout the community and highlight your Fiverr level, role, or accomplishments. This includes: Level 1, Level 2, TRS, Seller Plus, Pro, Community Leader, and Staff.

Contribution Badges, on the other hand, are manually awarded to members who actively add value to the community either on the forum or the community hub as a whole. Current Forum Contribution Badges include:

  1. Tester- Tried out new community features
  2. Trusted Voice- Legacy members recognized for their consistent, valuable insights
  3. Forum Moderator- Helps keep the community safe and organized
  4. Heart of the Community- A prestigious badge awarded to exceptional community members.

Forum vs. content

We heard you when you shared feedback about wanting more dedicated spaces to connect and network with one another on a deeper level. That’s why we’re slightly shifting the forum to be more freelancer-led. This way, you all can openly engage with each other on everything from freelancing to your quirky cats, and everything in between.

Don’t worry, I’ll still be hanging out here, along with our amazing moderators, to start discussions, answer questions, and chat with you. However, we truly want the forum to feel like your space. For the educational content and insider tips that you’re used to seeing from me, be sure to regularly check Content, as I will now primarily post them there.

And there you have it–your handy guide on mastering this new forum like a pro. We know changes can take some time to adapt to, but we truly hope you enjoy each of these updates in the long run. We only wish to make your experience here on the forum smoother and more valuable. If you have any questions or feedback, please don't hesitate to share them below.
