Fiverr x Plugged: The Productivity Crossover

A freelance community member’s reflections
March 27, 2025

As a solo founder of an EdTech business, one thing that I had to figure out the hard way was the fact that I didn’t know everything and couldn’t do everything by myself.
Stay with me now.
You see, it sounds simple enough. But I was armed with little more than a vision when I first started Web3sy, and that vision didn’t really include the creation of a brand kit, ready-to-go marketable posts, and SEO knowledge.
One thing that finally helped me put the entrepreneurial journey into perspective was joining communities like Plugged. At Plugged, I was surrounded by like-minded forward thinkers who aimed to drive change in their respective fields, and best of all, it recreated the whole concept of “networking” with their ethos of “plugging in and plugging out.” What does that mean? Well, it’s kind of like the age-old saying, “Work hard, play hard.”
One thing Plugged knew how to do was “play hard,” and so naturally, I was intrigued when I—as a Fiverr freelancer—noticed a Fiverr x Plugged event happening in a city near me.
So what happened when Fiverr and Plugged met?
Plugged’s series of co-working days have always been roof-raisers. Each day is dedicated to learning strategies from a host of crafted workshops, connecting and sharing insights with other industry professionals, and wrapping up the evening with dinner, games, and perhaps even a light drink or two.
When Fiverr joined the scene however, suddenly some founders discovered a way to tackle bottlenecks and navigate around blockers by utilising the marketplace of freelance professionals that Fiverr had to offer.
Armed with Fiverr credits, Plugged members were now empowered with the means to support the Fiverr community and fill skill gaps at the same time. The same way I had reached out to Fiverr freelancers to help create the brand kit for Web3sy, founders now began to explore the wealth of knowledge and expertise that Fiverr had to offer.
I see… How does Fiverr x Plugged support Founders in the UK?
I have been a seller on Fiverr for a few years now, monetising my skills and passion for fictional writing, and so it was a new experience to me when I found myself in need of a service rather than providing it. What I do recall however, is the initial anxiety about getting my first few customers and building a portfolio. By bringing freelancers right to the doorstep of those who need their skills the most, Fiverr gave freelancers the opportunity to pitch their mirth and begin - or extend - their freelancing journey.
From the founder perspective, outsourcing and employing the services of specialists for specific projects reduced heavy overheads such as onboarding staff, legal paperwork and financial strain. Additionally, projects can be completed faster, helping startups stay agile and founders can quickly hire experienced professionals without the long-term commitment of full-time employees.
All in all, the Fiverr x Plugged collaboration offers talent, networking and resources to UK Founders, allowing founders to focus on the highs and lows of startup culture, rather than the administrative burdens and operational roadblocks that often slow down early-stage growth, and the time-consuming challenges of hiring, managing overheads, and sourcing expertise from scratch.
What are my “need-to-knows”?
Here’s what you should take with you before you move onto your next page of the internet.
- No Founder Knows It All – Starting a business with just a vision is common, but soon enough, most founders quickly realize they can’t do everything alone. As such, the Plugged network provides a community and space for like-minded entrepreneurs to connect, learn, and collaborate.
- Fiverr x Plugged Bridges Skill Gaps – Founders gain access to a marketplace of freelancers and high-quality talent, helping them complete projects efficiently while freelancers gain opportunities to pitch their services.
- Efficiency & Agility for Startups – Fiverr empowers founders to scale without the financial strain of hiring full-time staff allowing founders to focus on innovation rather than operational challenges.
And so, if you are a founder, note that you may very well find your short-term - and maybe even long-term - teammates right here on Fiverr, and if you are a freelancer, know that by selling on Fiverr, your passions and talents are allowing others to build tools that.
